Celebrate Christmas, and 40 years of business, in Wiltshire this December

Nestled on the edge of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, just five miles from Salisbury, and with views over the Wiltshire countryside, you’ll find Coombe Caravan Park.

The site is open all year, so there’s still plenty of opportunity to enjoy an autumn or winter break in 2021. In fact, December in Wiltshire brings plenty of events to enjoy.

Longleat’s Land of Light runs from 5 November 2021 until 8 January 2022 with spectacular illuminations across the park and grounds. The National Trust’s Christmas at Stourhead features a magical mile-long after dark trail lighting up the gardens between 2 November 2021 and 2 January 2022.

Salisbury Christmas Market usually takes place from mid-November until a few days before Christmas with many food, craft and art stalls. The 2021 event is yet to be confirmed but if it doesn’t go ahead, Southampton is less than an hour away, with its Christmas Festival running from 18 November until the 23 December 2021.

A labour of love and a family business since August 1981, the site’s owners, Brian and Margaret, recently celebrated 40 years of welcoming guests onto the site.

Over those many years they have developed a plain field to a beautifully landscaped site with hundreds of trees and shrubs, providing privacy and shielding. You can see how much pride they take in the appearance of the site, with Brian planting over 7,500 bedding plants each year to create stunning annual floral displays.
