17/03/2022

Harford Bridge Holiday Park, at Peter Tavy near Tavistock, recently won its third annual Visit Devon Tourism Award: a gold for Camping and Caravanning Park of the Year 2021-22. This is in addition to a commended award in the regional South West England Tourism Excellence Awards 2021/22.

Since the 1960s this independently owned touring, camping and holiday park, just two miles from Tavistock has been welcoming families and couples for holidays in self-catering accommodation, as well as camping and caravanning with over 100 parkland pitches near the River Tavy.

Head of Park Operations, Paul Williamson, said: "The gold accolade is Harford Bridge’s third consecutive win in these prestigious county wide awards for excellence, innovation and resilience – on 10 March we achieved the top award to add to our previous bronze and silver.

"We think it’s the result of our total commitment to delivering a quality guest experience in a wonderful part of the county, very close to thriving Tavistock and within Dartmoor National Park. To win a 2021/22 Visit Devon award is a real recognition for our hardworking team that includes locally recruited staff and wardens, supplemented with self-employed tradesmen and contractors."
