With 2021 staycations seeming the popular choice, how about exploring central England and the Midlands?

The East and West Midlands offer a multitude of attractions from wide open countryside to historical architecture and country house estates.

In the East Midlands the Derbyshire Peak District is a walker’s paradise, as is the tiny county of Rutland where you’ll find Rutland Water and pretty villages and country inns.

In the West Midlands a visit to Herefordshire is a feast for the eyes with black and white villages and a rolling landscape. There’s also Warwickshire with its castle and connections to Shakespeare.
