Spotlight on: Burrowhayes Farm Caravan & Camping Site

20/08/2021

Set in the heart of beautiful Exmoor National Park, this site is in a top location for walking the coast and through wooded valleys.

Burrowhayes Farm has been welcoming guests for over 50 years to its prime location in the Horner Valley, with a view of Dunkery Beacon. Two areas beside a stream are reserved for motorhomes and caravans with electric and TV hook-ups. There are also a few fully serviced pitches on hardstandings.

The on-site facilities include a heated toilet and shower block with a separate disabled room, a launderette with coin-operated machines, and a well-stocked shop in the reception area.

An added bonus of the site is the horse riding stables, enabling guests of all riding levels to book escorted rides through the local countryside.

A main attraction of Burrowhayes is the lovely walks into Horner Woods that lead from the site. Half-a-mile away is Horner Tea Gardens and a little further in the opposite direction is the pretty village of Porlock, where you’ll find shops, galleries, places to eat and public transport. You can even catch a bus from the village down to Porlock Weir, which has a little harbour and pebbly beach to see.

This is a perfect, relaxing site to explore Exmoor.
