The UK's top coastal walks

20/07/2021

With the remainder of July set to be a scorcher, and schools breaking up for the summer, now is the perfect time for families to hop in their cars and head to the nearest coast for some sea and sun fun.

With this in mind, SaveOnEnergy.com/uk decided to find out which coastal walks in the UK are the highest rated, based on their online reviews from TripAdvisor. A list of all coastal walks was compiled and then a weighted ranking was created out of five, based on the number of reviews each walk received.

To compile the rankings SaveOnEnergy.com/uk defined a coastal walk as being on the coast, or offering significant views of the coastline. A weighted average for each coastal walk on TripAdvisor was created based on its number of one to five star reviews by users. The list of results was then filtered to only those with a total number of reviews exceeding 2,000, before ranking the walks from highest to lowest.
