What is Premier Parks?

A group of 100 of the finest campsites across the UK and Ireland offering the ultimate touring experience. The group was created in 2008 with an aim of providing a choice of high quality campsites to the public.

The group members are selected by the team behind the leading outdoor leisure magazines - MMM, Caravan, Campervan and Camping. The 100 campsites are all recognised by the editorial team as great places to stay.

The group contains a range of campsites, no matter your requirements or preferences. There are adult-only rural retreats, family-friendly holiday parks, coastal havens and dog-friendly destinations.

With a selection of accommodation options to choose from there's a Premier Park available to suit everyone. Whether you're looking for touring pitches for caravans, motorhomes or tents, glamping units, or self-catering holiday homes and luxury lodges to hire, you'll find it all here.

Whichever Premier Park you choose, you can be sure of the best holiday experience, as expected and associated with this prestigious brand.

How do we choose a Premier Park?
Before any touring park or campsite can join the Premier Parks group it has to be visited by a member of the team or one of our select contributors and undergo our own unique rating scheme.

How do we rate each park?
The editorial team have developed a detailed checklist that takes into account high-quality facilities, but also recognises that it’s the overall feel, ambiance and location that can make or break a holiday. The scheme is weighted in such a way that a park with a great view from your pitch and a pleasant atmosphere can score just as highly as a large park with every facility.

When inspecting a site the editor considers factors such as the size and location of the pitches, the surrounding area, the landscaping, the facilities offered, such as toilets and showers, and what’s available on site for leisure time for both adults and children. Factors that improve holiday convenience are also graded, including the location of the nearest public transport, pubs, shops and restaurants.

Once the park is rated, the inspector will sometimes make recommendations to improve the site and in this way, both the site owners and Premier Parks aim to continually improve your holiday experience.

What can I expect from a Premier Park?
Each park has something special to make it stand out from the crowd. Whether that be pitches in a stunning clifftop location overlooking a bay, or nestling in among woodland, where peace and tranquility reigns. The sites within the group all vary in size, location and the facilities offered, but one thing they all have in common is that they provide a first-rate experience worthy of the Premier Parks name. The group has every type of holiday covered – adults only, family friendly, dog friendly, coastal, rural … the list goes on …
