Hidden Valley Touring Caravan & Holiday Park

This award-winning, open-all-year campsite is set among the rolling hills of north Devon, with 35 acres of woodland and parkland.

Hidden Valley Touring Park is just five miles from the golden sandy beaches of Woolacombe and picturesque Ilfracombe Harbour. Access to explore the surrounding area is easy thanks to the park being adjacent to the main road, with a bus stop at the entrance, too. With mature trees surrounding the site, it’s a secluded retreat, though, perfect for rest and relaxation.

The surrounding woodland is perfect for a gentle stroll, and for anyone with dogs it’s the ideal place for them to explore. There’s also a dedicated dog exercise area on site, plus the river that runs through the site is perfect for four-legged friends to take a dip in warm weather. Many local beaches also welcome dogs and the site’s restaurant and bar is dog friendly.

On the topic of the bar and restaurant, it is open daily between Easter and the end of October, serving hot food, Sunday roasts, tempting cakes, snacks and speciality hot drinks. It occupies a stunning elevated position next to the site’s reception and overlooking the ornamental lake – a beautiful feature of the park that is ablaze with colour during the height of summer. All year round the lake provides the perfect place to take a relaxing walk looking for wildlife and enjoying the peace and quiet.

Other facilities at Hidden Valley include a shop packed with all the essentials, plus local produce and holiday gifts. The toilet and showers blocks have underfloor heating and there are family rooms, hairdryers and accessible facilities – all of which are conveniently sited close to all the pitches. Laundry rooms and dishwashing areas are also available, along with sitewide WiFi for a small extra charge. For any guests travelling with children, you’ll be pleased to know there are two children’s play areas on site (and plenty of toys and games for sale in the shop!)

The motorhome and caravan pitches are a choice of grass or hardstanding, all with 16-amp electric hook-ups. Premium pitches are larger and come complete with fresh and waste water points, digital TV connection, low-level lighting and a picnic bench. Some pitches are large enough to accommodate RVs. For camping there is a level grass meadow area with four pitch types, all with a 16-amp electric hook-up.

Whatever you want to enjoy while on holiday there’s plenty in the local area – award-winning beaches, coastal towns with quaint shops and cafés, National Trust properties, nature reserves, cycle routes, and the South West Coast Path. Alternatively, you can just put your feet up on site and enjoy the natural, wildlife-rich surroundings that Hidden Valley provides.
