Located on the Castle Howard Estate, this lakeside holiday park has a dedicated area for tents and hardstanding for caravans and motorhomes. Pitches are spacious, level and surrounded by beautiful mature trees with both shaded or sunny areas. The campsite is surrounded by a wonderful selection of walks through woodland, across rolling hills and along the lakeside.
Enjoy this lovely rural location where there is an abundance of wildlife on the Great Lake and song birds, deer, foxes and many other creatures that live in the surrounding area.
Stay at the campsite and pay a visit to the house and grounds at Castle Howard and you can explore one of the finest estates in Europe. Enjoy monuments and temples and if you are staying with children, you can visit Skelf Island, the adventure playground at Castle Howard. All campers receive 2 for 1 entrance to the grounds and gardens, including access to Skelf Island.
An on-site shop in reception stocks a few essentials and lots of lovely treats and gifts to make your stay a special one. The Castle Howard courtyard shops and cafes are just a few minutes’ drive away. Welburn village, just 5-6 minutes' drive, hosts the popular Crown & Cushion pub and Dogh bakery.
