Awards keep rolling in for southwest Premier Parks

02/04/2024

Last month tourism businesses from across southwest England gathered to celebrate in style as the winners of the 2023/24 South West Tourism Excellence Awards were revealed.

This annual event saw 89 awards presented in the Great Hall of the University of Exeter, with over 300 winners, supporters and tourism leaders attending the ceremony.

Premier Parks group member, Wareham Forest Tourist Park brought home the gold award to Dorset, by taking top spot in the Camping and Caravanning Park of the Year category.

This hospitality category also saw another Dorset Premier Park, South Lytchett Manor Caravan and Camping Park awarded bronze, and in the Holiday Park of the Year Category, Devon's Cofton Holidays took bronze, too.

No stranger to awards, Wareham Forest Tourist Park won the Camping and Caravanning Park of the Year category in the Dorset Tourism Awards back in February, and also won Campsite of the Year South West England 2022/23. The 40-acre woodland site is surrounded by nature trails and walking routes, and offers an on-site shop and outdoor swimming pool.

Many of the winners from the awards will now go on to represent the region in the national VisitEngland awards which take place in Liverpool this June.
