23/06/2021

Set close to both Cheltenham and Gloucester, Briarfields Motel and Touring Park is an adult-only site on the edge of the Cotswolds.

During lockdown, while the site had to remain closed, the owners were busy making improvements and upgrades, which included:

  • Extending another 35 pitches
  • Upgrading another 14 pitches to be fully serviced, comprising of electricity, fresh water and waste water
  • Giving the perimeter hedge a huge trim, bringing it down to a manageable level which gives many more pitches greater light and added sunshine
  • Deep cleaning the whole site and adding a fresh coat of paint where needed

They also added over 550 native hornbeam and beech hedging to many of the pitches to give guests greater privacy. Being native, hornbeam is wildlife friendly. Its dense and thick foliage makes it a perfecting nesting site as its holds its leaves throughout the winter. In addition it provides a safe and secure habitat for garden wildlife - perfect for any nature-loving guests!
