Create Portholes of Nature in Cromers Wood, Kent

15/08/2018

On the 16th of September Cromers Wood will be the site of the last event in the arts and crafts summer series, a Heritage Lottery funded project.

Karen Crosby is back for creating incredible portholes that will lead you to the wonderful world of nature.
You will create an archway with tree branches and sticks and then decorate them with animals and insects made from materials gathered from the woods. This event is running on a weekend so that the whole family can attend. Dogs on leads are welcome to come along.

Pick either the morning or afternoon session and spend the rest of your day exploring the beautiful Kent countryside. Stay at Quex Holiday Park nearby and you'll have a perfect base for travelling as Birchington village is only a 30-minute walk away. From there buses and trains can be caught to local areas of interest including; Westwood Cross shopping centre, Broadstairs award winning beaches, Margate's traditional seafront and the Turner Contemporary Art Centre. There are also a number of wildlife parks in the area. Right on the park doorstep is Quex House and Gardens, plus a range of other activities for all age groups.
