Double win for Premier Parks at the AA 2023-24 Caravan & Camping Awards

Two Premier Parks were crowned the best sites in the UK in the 2023-24 AA Caravan & Camping Awards.

On Wednesday 8 November, the AA revealed the UK’s top campsite and caravanning destinations with the announcement of the 2023-24 Caravan and Camping Awards winners.

The awards celebrate those camping and caravan sites offering guests the most luxurious, comfortable and welcoming stays in the UK.

An adult-only site, close to the New Forest, Back of Beyond Touring & Glamping Park was awarded the title of AA Most Improved Campsite of the Year. The award comes off the back of recently having been upgraded from a five-pennant gold campsite to a five-pennant platinum one after an annual inspection earlier this year.

Victoria Bowrey, owner of Back of Beyond, said: “We were absolutely over the moon to open our award. 10 years ago, when we purchased Back of Beyond it was beautiful but it was tired and in desperate need of modernisation. To have had our blood sweat and tears acknowledged by the AA was beyond our wildest dreams when we set out on our adventure.”

Also taking home an award, for AA Campsite of the Year Heart of England, was Cambridgeshire adult-only park, Fields End Water Caravan Park & Fishery. This is the second time this prestigious park has taken home the award, having also won back in 2014.

The 2023 ceremony took place virtually, with Managing Director of AA Media, Simon Numphud, announcing the winners. Simon said: "With a staggering 42% of the UK embarking on camping adventures within the country each year, we take immense pleasure in revealing the must-visit locations for the forthcoming year. The winners of this year have not only demonstrated unparalleled quality but have also exhibited a true dedication to ensuring their guests' experiences are truly exceptional."
