Gold tourism award for Wareham Forest Tourist Park

The first of February saw 260 representatives from businesses across Dorset head to the Weymouth Pavilion for the eleventh Dorset Tourism Awards.

During the event, hospitality businesses of all kinds were recognised for their excellence following a rigorous judging process.

Scooping Gold in the Camping & Caravanning Park of the Year category was Wareham Forest Tourist Park. This family-run, 40-acre woodland Premier Park is no stranger to awards, having won Campsite of the Year South West England 2022/23. Top quality facilities include fully serviced pitches and a heated outdoor swimming pool, set amid the peaceful woodland of Wareham Forest.

On receiving the award, park owners Tony and Sarah said: "Our thanks go to all of our team, past and present, and of course to our guests, for making Wareham Forest the best in Dorset!"

Winners from the Dorest Tourism Awards now have the chance of onward progression to the regional South West, and national VisitEngland, awards later in the year.
