Spotlight on: Bron Derw Touring Caravan Park

It’s rare to find somewhere to stay with a choice of three campsites all in one place.

Bron Derw, on the outskirts of pretty Llanwrst and on the edge of Snowdonia National Park, offers three sites – a family touring park, an adults-only site and a Caravan and Motorhome Club CL for members only. The two larger sites both have multi-serviced pitches, a toilet and shower block and laundry room.

In Llanwrst, which is half-a-mile away, you’ll find a selection of shops and restaurants, as well as bus services and a train station. Also in the village is Tu Hwnt I’r Bont tea room, which was built in 1480 and is set beside the river.

If you like plants, head to the National Trust’s Bodnant Garden which is 15 minutes away, providing year-round colour over 80 acres. Bodnant is known for its 55m laburnum arch walk, which is best seen in late May to early June when the flowers are in full bloom.

If a more adrenaline-filled day is on the agenda then Adventure Parc Snowdonia is six miles away. Choose from a surf lagoon, indoor caves, climbing walls and zip lines or an outdoor pump track, mountain biking and gorge walking.
