Wiltshire Premier Park receives new AA upgraded rating

With a location just 20 minutes from the New Forest, and only five miles from Salisbury, Coombe Caravan Park is a year-round campsite, ideal for exploring Wiltshire. Top attractions like the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Stonehenge, and the house and safari park of Longleat, are a short drive away.

Recent upgrades to the campsite include a brand new reception and shop area, along with new barrier gates at the site's entrance. A particular notable feature of Coombe, one that has been present for many years, is the 7,500 bedding plants that the owners plant each year.

After a recent inspection by the AA, the developments on site have seen the owners rewarded by achieving five pennant gold status for 2022. Under the AA hospitality ratings scheme, every campsite is visited by an AA inspector and graded from one to five pennants. Five pennant campsites are of an extremely high standard, set in attractive surroundings. Facilities, security and customer care are exceptional and there will be electric hook-ups at most pitches, and first-class toilet facilities. AA gold pennants are awarded to the very best camping parks with a quality score of 90% and above.

The AA inspector who rated the park noted that Coombe Caravan Park was, "A very neat and attractive site adjacent to the racecourse with views over the downs. The park is well landscaped with shrubs and maturing trees, and the very colourful beds are stocked from the owner's own greenhouse. This is a lovely, quiet and peaceful park to stay on with an excellent toilet and shower block, plus a fully-equipped function room with a kitchen that makes for a welcome campers' retreat."
