Dorset Premier Parks recognised in regional tourism awards

The Dorset Tourism Awards celebrates the best of businesses in Dorset, with an annual awards ceremony, which this year saw 54 winners announced in a day-long online awards ceremony on 10 February.

2022 is the ninth year of the competition, with the ceremony a conclusion of nine months of businesses entering, being judged and visited. After what has been a tough year for all, there were numerous examples of excellence, innovation and resilience. In addition, many Dorset businesses found time to become significant contributors to the county’s efforts to support key workers and those facing hardship.

Two of our Premier Parks members took home awards in the Camping & Caravanning Park of the Year category. Gold went to Monkton Wyld Holiday Park, near Charmouth, with South Lytchett Manor Caravan & Camping Park, near Poole, being awarded silver.

Winners in most categories will be automatically considered for the regional South West Tourism Excellence Awards later in the year, with many going on to be nominated to represent the region in the national VisitEngland awards.
